So we've all heard it before… it's important to eat a balanced diet right?
But here's a trick question for you…
Do you do we really know what a balanced diet is?
I mean in theory a balanced diet sounds good… but identifying what to eat and how much to eat of the right foods can be exhausting especially when you're new to following a specific lifestyle such as the keto diet!
And unlike other diets, on the keto diet it's important that you remain conscious of the type of foods you eat as well as the amount of it.
If you're new to keto then this can be a lot to take in so below I've created a detailed list of foods that you should be eating if you want to lose fat fast and get into and then stay in ketosis.
Foods To Eat On Keto
Now while there is some truth to you can eat pretty much any meat, poultry, seafood and fats without any limitations, if you want to success long term on keto then there are certain foods that you should eat that are actually better for you.

Organically grown foods are defined meat, poultry, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds that are produced without conventional pesticides or fertilizers that have been made using synthetic ingredients or using sewage sludge (yes this happens) or through any type of bioengineering or any type of ionizing radiation.
Before any type of food product can be labeled as “organic,” the farm where the food has been grown must be inspected and then certified to insure that the farmer is following all the rules in order to meet the USDA organic standards.
Studies have shown that some of the chemicals and treatments that are used on non-organic foods have been known to cause inflammation in your body.
We now know that inflammation has been linked to cancer, respiratory issues and a variety of autoimmune diseases.
For those of you just starting keto, you may not realize that there are more benefits to keto then just losing weight. There are so many health benefits and many of them are connected to the removal of eating highly processed foods!
And it's one of the main reasons why you will hear myself as well as others in the keto community who recommend eating only organic and non-processed foods!
So that you know the difference, here's a breakdown of the best types of foods to purchase.
Grass- fed meats are animals and their products that have only been fed grass most of their lives instead of a processed diet. And grass-fed dairy products come from cows who have been grass-fed.
Pastured meat and poultry are animals and their products that have been raised in an organic pasture however they may have also have eaten some grains.
Organic fruits & vegetables have been grown on a USDA approved farm and have not been subjected to chemicals and traditional commercial farming techniques.
So now that you know why eating organic foods are better for your body… well especially when following keto, it's time to talk about some of the best foods for beginners to eat!
