Every since I've been on keto, mornings for me has always been a struggle when it comes to food and eating.
I either wake up starving or I'm not really hungry at all… and most of the time it's the latter!
And let's not talk about when I'm doing intermittent fasting!
It seems like the longer I go without eating, the less hungry I am!
So that's why I came up with this low carb blueberry smoothie recipe!
Now this recipe has a few more steps then your normal smoothie for a few reasons!
First I wanted to make it keto friendly and second because I wanted something that not only taste good but that was also packed full of protein which is why I even added another little trick to this smoothie! 😉

So the secret to what gives you that extra boost in this recipe (outside of the blueberries of course) is the collagen.
Ya know… sorta middle aged! LOL
And one of the things about losing weight and and being a middle aged woman going through menopause is that your skin is NOT forgiving!
So this is why collagen plays such a big role for women on keto!
Now with that being said, this recipe is pretty darn easy to make!
I mean I guess the hardest part is making sure you have the right ingredients because of course, why go through all of this trouble to tell you how delicious this recipe is for you to end up suing crap ingredients! LOL
Now I've tried more than a dozen protein powders and finally decided on Orgain Organic Vanilla Bean Protein Powder.
The reason I love Orgain Organic Vanilla Bean Protein Powder is because it mixes well with pretty much everything and most importantly it doesn't have a gritty aftertaste!
And of course when you add a little bit of Lakanto Granulated Sweetener, it taste like you're drinking a blueberry milkshake… except for instead of it being full of bad calories, it's actually good for you!
So enough of my rambling! Please make sure you try this recipe out and once you do leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!!!
