What Is Snack Prepping?
So we all know that it's a great idea to meal prep to stay on keto and keep yourself on track for the upcoming week but what about snack prepping?
Yep! There is such a thing… or at least is is NOW!
One of the things I do every weekend is cook and prepare snacks for the upcoming week so that when I want something ti nibble on, it's already there!
Having low carb and keto approved snacks in the house means that when I'm hungry or tired or even bored I already have something I can pop in my mouth and eat!
Now there's a ton of snacks that you can create (and I'll suggest some to you in a few) but don't think that you have to go overboard!
You want to make just enough to keep on hand should the need arise and you need a quick pick me up!
I also like to do snack prepping for days when I don't have time to eat a meal and I know I'll be gone for a few hours.
For example, yesterday I had a 10am hair appointment. By the time I had my coffee, fed the dogs and then worked out in my home gym, it was 9:30 and of course after all that I needed to take a shower and get on the road!
On my way out the house I grabbed a bottle of water and a snack bag of my low carb cinnamon vanilla butter glazed pecans!
And it was a good thing that I did because I was getting highlights and by the time I left it was almost 2:30!!!
So keeping little snacks around helps me to stay focused, not starve and still meet my macros on a daily basis!

I typically prep my snacks on Sunday because it's my least busy day but you can do this on any day!

And for food items it really depends on the snacks that you're going to create! Below are some of the food items that I keep on hand based on the snacks I make each week!
What you make may vary but here's my top 7 snacks that I think are easy to make and would work perfectly for snack prepping on keto!
As I already mentioned, every week I make a double batch of Low Carb Cinnamon Vanilla Butter Glazed Pecans!
The reason I make a double batch is because my husband loves them more than me and I swear I can't keep enough of these in the house!

The reason why I make this recipe each week is because not only is it delicious, but it also makes a great healthy, fat filled keto snack!
The other thing about snack prepping this recipe is that once you make it, it can be stored in your pantry or you can put a little snack bag in your purse or car!

Another one of my favorites things to snack prep is the Low Carb Vanilla Cheesecake Fat Bombs.
Now unlike the Low Carb Cinnamon Vanilla Butter Glazed Pecans this recipe actually requires refrigeration or if you make a lot of them – freezing!
These little creamy bombs of yumminess are perfect for those times when you have a craving for something sweet but don't feel like cooking!
And although they're super delicious and good for you, what I love the most is that they only have 4 ingredients AND you don't have to cook them!

And with these I also make a double batch of them because… yep you guessed! Hubby loves these too and eats them like they're tic tacs! LOL
What I love most about this Low Carb Vanilla Cheesecake Fat Bomb Recipe is that you'll never grow tired of it!
It's always delicious. Always filling and always taste good!
When I'm craving something sweet and chocolatey, one of my all time favorite recipes, has to be this low carb keto walnut fudge!
I love this recipe because it's easy to make but the taste like you spent hours creating it!
To make this recipe you'll need the following:
- Lakanto Granulated Sweetener
- Grass Fed Butter
- Cream Cheese
- Walnut Pieces
- Cocoa Powder
- Pure Vanilla Extract
Now unlike some of the other recipes, this one will need to stay in the fridge to make sure it stays fresh and doesn't spoil. But don't worry… this fudge recipe is addictive so I promise you it won't go bad and will disappear in no time at all!
Now one of my newest snacks that I now make every week is the Low Carb Keto Cheese Crackers and the reason why is simple… they're AMAZING!
Here's what you need for this recipe:
The reason I love this recipe is because it gives me something crunchy to chew on and makes me feel like I'm eating real crackers or potato chips!
Now this recipe is also easy to store and can be eaten alone and it also works perfectly with our low carb spinach dip recipe!
Now these are my current favorites but since I'm always testing out recipes, I'm pretty certain that these “favorites” may soon change!
