What Is KetoCoach For Women?
Hi my name is Pam Peebles! I started KetoCoach when I realized there wasn't a community for women my age who were following the keto diet.
Prior to starting KetoCoach, I was very familiar with the keto diet. For more than a decade I had used some form of a keto diet or low carb diet to maintain and control my weight.
Things were going well for me both personally and professionally that was until 2016 came. That was a really rough year for me and then it got bad!
Life Got Ugly FAST!
I turned 46 that year and it seems like my health went to hell in a handbasket!
First I went into full menopause due to a full hysterectomy I had when I was in my mid 30's.
It wasn't like I didn't know it wasn't coming. I just didn't expect it to be so harsh and so brutal! My fatigue increased and slowly I started gaining weight.
At the same time I was told that I would need spinal surgery. This would be my second major cervical surgery within the last ten years.
Between the medication to try to control my hormones, the steroids to decrease the inflammation and the numerous ones I was taking for my pain let's just say I was a mess!
Within a short period of time I'd gained more than 75 lbs! I found myself desperate and desolate!
When Your Health Is Fails You See Your Doctor Right? WRONG!
So I reached out to my doctor for help and he sent me to a nutritionist.
By this time my normally low blood pressure was running high and my cholesterol was too!
They both told me that they were too high for me to try keto or any type of low carb diet.
So against my better judgement I listened and started taking diet pills then went on a high carb.
And that's when a whole bunch of other health issues began to appear!
More than 25 lbs later I was done with specialist!
I decided to listen to my gut and do what I already knew how to do!
That's when I decided to get serious about following the keto diet and learned how to seriously fine tune it in order to begin healing my body.
At the time I got “serious” about living the keto lifestyle permanently I was dealing with a ton of health issues.
Time For CHANGE!
During the first few months I lost close to 40 lbs! I decided to ditch the scale because I wanted to be a role model to the women in my community.
I wanted to show them that this journey was more about their health!
That it was more about how they look and feel in their clothes than it is about what those 3 little numbers on a scale say!
When I started I was wearing a size 20 and I'm now wearing a size 8 and I'm still shrinking!
I love showing women how they can lose weight and improve their health by just following the keto diet!
